Foot pronation is the primary shock absorber of the body and is one of the specialties of Dr. Sandahl.

Our facility is not your typical Chiropractic office, in that we have advanced training in Extremity Adjusting. Dr. Adam Sandahl is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), and is the only CCEP within a 50 mile radius from the location in Long Beach, CA. The CCEP Diplomate program consists of 7 modules giving the Doctor of Chiropractic specific training in treating the whole body in synchrony between the nervous system and the mechanical control system (which controls the ground reaction forces through foot pronation). An extremity is a limb, or the end of a limb (e.g. jaw, shoulder, elbow, hand, fingers, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, foot, and toes), and any of these extremities (or a combination) often need adjustment to relieve chronic pain.

Foot pronation is the primary shock absorber of the body and is one of the specialties of the CCEP Doctor. Foot pronation occurs in 3 planes of motion (dorsiflexion, abduction, and eversion), and is a crucial element for on-site custom orthotic fittings. An orthotic is a removable liner supporting the foot in it’s most optimal position. This specific area of chiropractic is what separates Pacific Coast Highway Chiropractic from the rest of the pack. Most Chiropractors adjust from the neck down, and do not address the base or mechanics of the foot.
